As we near the end of Chanukah, here are two photographs that show a little of the beauty and fun in the Old City of Jerusalem at Chanukah time. I walked into the Old City and smiled when I noticed these large, over-sized Sevivonim (dreidels) decorating the street as one comes near the entrance to the Jewish Quarter.
Here is another angle. They are so fun.
In the second image you can get an idea of where the Sevivonim were situated. If you know the Old City at all, you might be able to place them. This image is as one walks from Jaffa Gate towards the Jewish Quarter.
In another post, I shared about Chanukah at the Kotel, particularly at Rosh Chodesh. Well that is when I was there, although the image does not specifically indicate Rosh Chodesh.
One of my greatest gifts for Chanukah this year, was finally getting the lens of my camera repaired. Since photography is all about capturing light and transforming that into images that can be enjoyed, I feel it is very fitting for Chanukah. It also means we are now back in business for taking photographs. Our two ideas are:
- Photographic products – images, prints on wood or canvas, prints onto mugs etc
- Photographs of kids in the park. We mostly love to photograph in the park near us as it is a very beautiful park. However, we can photograph in other parks in Jerusalem too.
Stay tuned for more posts regarding our photography and photographic services or products.
Do you enjoy photography? Do you enjoy photographs? Would you enjoy a photograph of a beautiful scene of Jerusalem?
I’d love to hear what your photographic needs are and what you did to capture the light of Chanukah.
