Description
One of the most special places in Jerusalem is the Kotel or Western Wall also known as the Wailing Wall. The wall is a part of the remaining wall that continues to this day despite the destruction of the rest of the Holy Temple around the year 70 CE, meaning under 2000 years ago.
How much of the wall is available for us to visit has changed over time. As our history unfolds, so the image that can be seen of Yidden visiting this Holy Site changes too. This photograph taken by Rabbi Eliyahu Shear, shows a typical scene one might see if you look at the men’s side of the Kotel on a regular day.
In our daily Tefillos, we face towards the Jerusalem and the direction of where the Temple stood. Our prayers are directed towards Temple Mount. This photograph is available for you as a framed print, enabling you to put an image on your wall as a constant reminder of the one remaining wall of the Temple that we yearn for.
This framed print is being sold on Fine Art America. The price listed here is the conversion to Israeli Shekels as found on the day we listed this print on our gift store, the actual price is $68.
