I received an email today asking how I manage juggling a number of creative mediums and projects / pursuits. The person emailing also wanted to know how I managed with the transition from being a therapist in a facility to working from home via my creative skills.
I am going to separate these. So stay tuned for a follow-up email tomorrow (I hope).
The one part of this email had to do with my being multi-talented and how I am coping with working on using all of these skills or talents. The answer is that I love it. I will give you an example. Today I sat down to do some research that I needed in order to complete some pitching for my freelance writing service. I have set myself a target to do a certain amount of cold pitching each week. The truth is that the process of cold pitching is rather time consuming. For the best results, quite a bit of research is required.
I have been putting off getting into serious cold pitching for too long. So today, I decided to take the bull by the horns and tackle this task. Well, from 3 potential leads I managed to double the websites I needed to explore. Here I was gathering data, writing down details and formulating a plan when a wonderful piece of information jumped out and begged for my attention. It is just exactly what I needed to read.
On a certain website was a video of someone who had just reached a target of selling $1 000 000 online. Her product or service was none other than her art. I watched the first few minutes of her video and was delighted to hear that she had not studied art. However, here she is earning from what she loves to do most. To create.
So here was a clear answer as to how I manage using my range of creative skills. It’s wonderful to be busy with one task and find an answer to a question. Or some inspiration. Or confirmation that the goal that I have is actually achievable.
I will give another example. A few days ago, I was doing some research on YouTube towards the videos I am making when another wonderful piece of information came to light. Here was someone else who had managed to earn $1 000 000 online. In this case the medium for earning was through creating several designs that he has printed onto products and sells those products on his online store.
Well now this last piece of information was really exciting. You see, we have tried printing some of our designs or photographs onto mugs and other products. Our problem was in how to find where to print. How to figure out the mark up price and shipping and packaging etc. There is so much that goes into handling the practical side of getting that creative gift to the buyer. Well now we obtained some insight as to how to do this.
So now I have another task to do which is to explore 3 different companies that print onto products. So stay tuned for the addition of our range of products. We are busily working on the process. I hope to share some of this either on the blog or in our newsletter.
Does this information inspire you as much as it inspires me? Pop a comment in the comments below to let me know if you are interested in discovering more of how to earn a good income online, through your art or creative skills. Do you have a financial goal? Do you know where you are headed with your art or creative skills? We’d love to hear from you.

I look forward to sharing more of my discoveries. And of course more of our products.
