Discovering the Jerusalem Tile Project

Last week I promised a very special thread. Well here it is…. If you take a walk down the stone / cobbled section of Agrippas Street towards King George Street in Jerusalem, you will find this fun, beautiful project. In the image above, we see a beautiful mosaic. Next to it is a plaque.

Showing Our Support for Jerusalem Even from the Door Post

There is all kind of art and creativity that can be seen in the homes in Jerusalem. One example is found right from the door post in the form of the decorative Mezuzah cases used to put up the Mezuzah.

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, today we are going a little more indoors. I do have a lovely post related to the Jerusalem municipality’s efforts to enhance the beauty of Jerusalem. However, I got sidetracked at the front door. Or should I say a number of front doors.

One of Our Many Beautiful Traffic Circles

In the previous post highlighting the beauty of Jerusalem, we shared a splash of colour. As mentioned in that post, the beautiful flowers are to be found in an island down the centre of the road. The photograph above shows another traffic circle. This one has a statue as well.

How to Juggle Several Creative Talents or Pursuits

Gears to make things happen

I received an email today asking how I manage juggling a number of creative mediums and projects / pursuits. The person emailing also wanted to know how I managed with the transition from being a therapist in a facility to working from home via my creative skills.

I am going to separate these. So stay tuned for a follow-up email tomorrow (I hope).

Discovering My Creative Path

Dicovering My Creative Path

It’s been a while since I looked at the posts on this website. The joys of moving. It’s taken me away from my work and what I was building up. Have I mentioned the fact I really wanted to be an artist?

In case I have not, or if you are new to my blog, when I was at school, one of my favourite subjects was art. Sewing and needlework came close behind. You see, I love to create and to be creative. As a result, I particularly enjoyed the practical side. After high school, I spent a year Au Pairing and loved the opportunity this gave to do a number of creative classes. I took a class in ceramics, another in drawing and painting and a third in photography. I really wanted to be an artist. I can’t explain it. I am happy when I am creating.
